Transfer Living Learning Community (TLLC)
The Transfer Living and Learning Community is a unique, community living experience for incoming transfer students initiated by former ASUC Senator Carmel Gutherz and the Transfer Student Center. As a community member, you will have the opportunity to live in a Maximino Martinez Commons residence hall with 44 new transfers, each selected through our application process. We are looking for motivated students who are ready to cultivate strong relationships with their peers, and actively participate in floor social activities. The Transfer Living and Learning Community features a continuing transfer student residential assistant, who can provide guidance and support from the transfer perspective. The Transfer Living and Learning Community is a new initiative, first offered in the 2017-18 academic year yielding a 100% recommendation rate from participants.
The community is welcoming of students of all backgrounds, majors, and experiences. The diversity of perspective and experience is one of the strongest points of the program and an opportunity for residents to learn from each other and grow together.
Our community is comprised of all double rooms in the Residence Halls.
