Utah State University Aggie Rec Camp fosters a lifelong love of recreation. Our Aggie Rec Camp allows campers, ages 6-14 years old, to experience positive group interactions in a safe and fun environment. We give campers the opportunity to develop teamwork skills, experience fun adventures, and create new lasting friendships through arts and crafts, daily recreational activities, special events, sports, as well as field trips.
The Aggie Rec Camp staff is a high-energy, dedicated team, certified in Adult & Child CPR/AED and First Aid. Our philosophy is that all activities must be SAFE, FUN, & FAIR. Campers get the care they deserve with our 8-to-1 camper-to-staff ratio. Our staff is under the direction of Bailey Adams (Ace), Camp Director. Come join the fun through play, wellness, and adventure!
Registration for Aggie Rec Camp is done through recportal.usu.edu. All USU affiliates have an account linked to their A# and strong password. Community members will have to create an account.

We recommend that all campers wear comfortable clothing such as a t-shirt, shorts, or any type of athletic wear. Campers must wear tennis shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). Parents will be notified prior to days in which we may get a little messy or have a field trip that will require different attire.
Campers must wear closed toe shoes anytime they are attending the Climbing Wall during camp. These activities will typically take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (schedule may change, please review before dropping off your camper).
Campers must be between the ages of 6-14 to attend any of the camp sessions. Sports Camp is for 8-14 year olds, Rec Camp is for 6-14 year olds, and Adventure Camp is for 10-13 year olds.
Safety is our #1 priority! Our campers get the care they deserve with our 8-to-1 camper-to-staff ratio. The staff members are all trained in American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid, Sexual Assault Training, COVD-19 policies and procedures and a background check will be completed.
All parents/guardians and authorized people to pick-up your camper are required to come into the facility to check them out with the camp counselors. Monday-Thursday, pick-up will be at the Fieldhouse. On Friday, you will pick them up from the HPER Class room during Movie Time.
Session deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable.
Yes. However, the staff cannot escort individual campers from scheduled events to meet those picking them up. Parents must make prior arrangements to pick up their child at the scheduled location.
Campers will eat at various locations throughout the week. On Monday - Thursday, campers will bring their lunches and eat at the Fieldhouse or the Aggie Legacy Fields. Friday is our pizza party day. We will provide pizza for all campers.
We ask that all campers do NOT bring any valuable or personal items with them to camp. These items could get lost or broken during daily camp activities.
While some activities may require campers to be put into their age group, the majority of our activities allow campers to participate together.
At the beginning of the first pool day, each camper will go through a swim test with the lifeguards to see which campers can pass the swim test and which ones will require a life jacket. If you know your child will need the life jacket, please make sure they pack their own to wear.
We will be following all the guidelines of Utah State Campus Recreation which have been written to follow the guidelines of the State of Utah and the CDC and have been approved by Utah State University’s COVID Safety Committee. Additionally, Aggie Rec Camp has consulted the American Camping Association (ACA) guidelines and will continue to monitor guidelines they may update in the coming months.
Absolutely! Whether it’s arts and crafts, swimming, or going on field trips, we offer a wide variety of activities that can be enjoyed by all.
